The Commonwealth Carer Resource Centres can provide more information on support and services available to people living with a life threatening illness and their carers. 

These Centres are operated by Carers Associations in each state and territory of Australia and provide a range of free information, including:

  • practical written information about support services, home help, financial entitlements, legal matters, respite care, health and wellbeing, and dealing with grief
  • counselling through the National Carer Counselling Program
  • referrals to community and government services
  • emotional support
  • education and training opportunities.
